Chery's Omoda E5 has achieved an impressive five-star safety rating from the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) and the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), reflecting Chery's commitment to safety and innovation.

This follows the success of its ICE sibling, the Omoda 5, which received similar ratings in 2022. The Omoda E5, a full-electric version of the Omoda 5, maintains this achivement with identical five-star ratings.

  • Safety Assist: 88% (Euro NCAP), 83% (ANCAP)

The Omoda E5 underwent additional crash tests, including frontal offset and oblique pole evaluations, to validate overall safety and battery integrity. It also prioritizes young passengers with well-designed child seat interfaces and advanced airbags, offering precise deployment for maximum protection.

In Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) tests, the E5 excelled in protecting Vulnerable Road Users (VRU) and Safety Assist (SA).

Launched in Nepal in February this year, the Omoda E5 is available in two variants - DLX priced at Rs 55.99 Lakh and LUX at Rs 61.99 Lakh.

The Omoda E5 is equipped with a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate blade battery pack, providing a range of 430 km based on the WLTP standard. Powered by a front-mounted 99 kW electric motor, the Omoda E5 delivers 340 Nm of maximum torque.

In terms of safety, the Omoda E5 incorporates an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), encompassing features such as lane departure warning and prevention, blind spot detection, emergency lane keeping, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, front collision warning and autonomous emergency braking, as well as hill start assist, hill descent control, and other safety features.
